LIGHT AT THE END OF THE TUNNEL!!

  1. Faroe Islands look beautiful!
I certainly began to get itchy feet when I watched a YouTube video of the islands.
    Here’s the link:

And, there’s a sad story behind the pretty woman’s statue. She’s not a mermaid, but a seal.

    1. I hope to go to the Faroes someday.
It would be surreal to drive under the Atlantic.
I'll wait for the other tunnel to open first.

Yes, that's a shocking story. Seal slavery!
Reminds me of a seal joke:
      Q. What do you call a seal in the desert?
      A. Lost.

  2. As you know,
German Chancellor Angela Merkel begged in the Parliament Dec.10.
    Her thoughtful speech moved me.

Here, her speech in English news source.

"I really am sorry, from the bottom of my heart. But if the price we pay is 590 deaths a day then this in unacceptable."

She begs Germans to follow coronavirus restrictions in an unusually emotional appeal ahead of Christmas.

    1. Thank you, Shuko.
      That's some news I missed.
Ms Merkel's nickname in Germany is 'mutter' (mother).
She is a really good leader in a crisis.
      She will be greatly missed.
      (She leaves office next September).

      Nice poetry, too!

  3. If you speak to your speaker it gives you any  answers. AI drives instead of you. AI is taking parts of our daily life.
Then your brain cells would shrink.
I remember  Planet of the Apes.

Anyway I can't attend the last class, I am sorry.
This year I made mistakes, next year more, I don't know.
