It is difficult for a shy person (me) to keep eye contact, too.But it’s very common in Asia. Generally speaking, East Asians make less eye contact compared to Europeans and North Americans. I don’t know where the cognitive scientist in the article got that idea from. Yes! It is difficult for a shy person (me) to keep eye contact, too.
