QR code. Great. It’s a Japanese invention and convenient.
But, beware—Mr. Xi’s proposal is definitely the Trojan Horse.
China is now the world’s No.1 data superpower, surpassing US. They have mainly two purposes to collect data:
First, they’re going to suck up personal data to create a competitive edge in the world economy. In this digital age, personal data is said to be the most valuable intangible asset. We need to keep in mind how Tencent and Alibaba took on traditional banks.
Second, they’re going to keep the world under surveillance with vast quantities of personal data. Remember, China’s military has global ambitions.
Oops. I’d better stop here because someone has access to my personal information.
Thanks Yuki san, it's so interesting that QR code was invented by Japanese man belonged to the development division of DENSO, for parts control system.
I haven't known it.
Remarkable things are free of charge and open source for the invention, widespreaded through supply chain of parent company TOYOTA.
Now China is the best use of it to control people?
Well, I thought the QR code travel idea was pretty good. We already use it to some degree. But many countries have their own systems. It makes sense to have a universal one. Of course the amount of personal data required should be limited. And should definitely not be linked to any other accounts. So who can we trust to run a system like that???

Delete"Le Pont Mirabeau"
ReplyDeleteby Guillaume Apollinaire
Under the Mirabeau bridge runs the Seine
And our loves
Must I remember them
Joy has always come after pain
Come the night,
let ring the hours
The days go away,
I remain
in English, unknown
What inspired you to read the poem of sad love?
DeleteI’ll quote the part of the rest:
Love goes away like this flowing water
Love goes away
Life is so slow
And hope is so violent
The night falls and the hours ring
The days go away I remain
Days pass by and weeks pass by
Neither past time
Nor past loves will return
Under the Mirabeau bridge flows the Seine
