When my dearest grandmother was 86, I would recommend doing leg strengthening exercises to her. But she tried only a couple of times and soon gave up, saying, ‘What difference does it make?’
But if she was alive now, she could be inspired by captain Tom’s walking challenge.
The amount of money he has raised is stunning.
But even greater is the inspiration he gave to many people who are struggling to walk or just stand —A six year old boy who has spina bifida, a nine year old boy with cerebral palsy.
Captain Tom now has young men to follow his footsteps.

Yes! I hope we can all keep on walking as long as possible. No matter how much or how little, we are able to do. Never give up!
