Global warming is one of the most urgent issues we have to tackle. We all know that. So do many world leaders in politics and industries.
But, just as Sir Attenborough pointed out, the leaders don’t dare to adopt strong policies to save the earth. Why?? Because it curbs the economical growth?
Can small efforts by individuals make a change? I think it’s like trying to empty the ocean with a thimble. We definitely need some laws and regulations to slow down the global warming NOW!
No disposable chopsticks or paper towels, to begin with. Tax them, then people won’t buy them. Solar panels and hybrid/electric cars should be more available with government fund and corporate efforts.
I am not an activist. I am not an environmentalist. I like money. I like to eat. I want to make a trip. I have a dream. I drive a car, I take a train, I take a plane. I have a right to take them when necessary. I want to be better from someone. i am a common human being.
Though, there is a small deference in way of feeling. I am a bay boomer. We started from scratch for everything. As everything was a little, we had gotten along without. As it was pure experience to me, spontaneously I learnt how to get along. Once frugal always frugal.
Politicians argue as it is ideal and perfect; protestants come down hard on any abuse of the argument. God knows consequences how our planet eventually will be. Wrangle an ass's shadow; "Do our best and let god do the rest."
