Indian diamond story drew my attention, so I did some research! Here’s a summary.
Ever since the first diamond was found in India, its diamonds cut and polish techniques have been universally prized. India exports 75% of the world’s polished diamonds. Although some famous diamonds, such as Koh-I-Nor on the queen Victoria’s crown, were produced in India in the past, today India imports rough diamonds mainly from Africa and Russia.
