TALKING NEWS MONTHLY Toyohashi Edition FEB 2024 Number 34

Phew!

Comments

  1. As everything becomes more convenient, the use of it causes more danger.
Use this convenient tool on condition of being aware of the risk.
It is easy to connect with people, even though you don't know who he is.
It makes you make wrong decisions.

NAVI in your car is convenient and reliable for directions.
However, my navigation system gives incorrect directions when it rains.
It was raining yesterday. I happened to be on a business trip and set up directions on NAVI.
Although the destination is accurate, it provides unnecessary directions along the way.

It is said 300 million people use X a day.
X's profit this year is 2 trillion yen, three times that of last year,
and Toyota's profit is 1.3 trillion yen, the highest ever.
You can imagine the scale of X.

Some excellent observations, Shoji. Yes, the virtual world seems to have more value than the physical world these days. What does that tell us about ourselves, I wonder?

  2. “Alien Mummies”

The number of fingers and length of the limbs are different from human’s, but, "Aliens" usually have one head, two eyes, a body with two arms and legs.

Even on the earth, there are a wide variety of living creatures, let alone infinite space. Their figures might be just my (our?) Imagination.

I want to believe somewhere in my heart, that, the earth is not the only place for life forms, otherwise, it is too far lonely planet. However, I hope they won’t attack our world.😰

If there is any intelligent life, capable of reaching us
(& therefore, a lot smarter than us),
I doubt whether they'd want to come!

  3. IT has definately made our life incredibly convenient.
But we should NEVER be too independent on it or trust it too much.
I feel so sorry for the post office workers and the international students in the UK who were wrongly accused because of the false computer systems.
Who's fault? ---We cannot blame computors or AI!!

That's absolutely true! After all, as the saying goes,
"A good craftsman never blames his tools."

    2. I like this kind of word.
I'm always on my way to the peak just I would gaze.
I shall breathe as I am.

Thanks for you all who posted.

  4. Definitely I fight against aging day by day, which is not efficient on my work.
I struggle between remembrance and forgetfulness which takes a time to reach my expectations these days, during the edit of the newsletter for the Sizuoka Haiku Association🥺

I understand it's humanity but it might be possible that a healthy age come up to me, Ah!

Only hope going to be in as good a shape as we age focused grey and white matter in the brain connecting neurons into functional brain circuits.

The shrinkage is gradual, but occasionally rapid.
