When I learned it was the number-one hit in the US last year, I thought it was just another music trend which would soon disappear. I was totally wrong. For some people, K-pop has become a threat.
K-pop fans are often members of a fandom, a community of likeminded enthusiasts. They are social media savvy and politically aware. They’ve band together online to influence society, for example raise money, buy a billboard and distract a political rally. They know how to manipulate a powerful weapon in the online age.
Now, no one can underestimate the power of K-pop fans. I wonder if Mr. Trump would ignore them or take actions to weaken their power.
WOW! You know a lot more than me on this subject. I generally avoid all forms of 'pop' these days. J-Pop, K-Pop, C-Pop, even UK-Pop! But maybe we should pay a bit more attention?
And straying from theme, I'm interesting arts, not just view but feeling soul, communicating and understanding. Arts have souls. If it was made touch-up, it instantly turns into zombie.
